Don't Let Any Politician Use You To Score Cheap Political Points - Prince Abdulkareem tells Kogi APC Executives

His Excellency, Alh Yahaya Bello is the Executive Governor of Kogi State, we must all come to terms with this glaring reality. Therefore, some members of the APC who are aggrieved without any cogent reason other than playing to the antics of some self-centered politicians, so called leaders of the APC in the State, are being deceived. It is high time they come down from their high horses, swallow their prides and join the New Direction for the best interest of the people.

The founder of FairWin, Prince Abdulkareem Onyekehi Suleiman, speaking in an interview with the correspondent of NewsDay Newspaper in Abuja about the purported "Vote of no confidence on Gov. Yahaya Bello" advised some of the APC executives in Kogi State to accept the will of God and beware of selfish politicians who are desperately out to sabotage the administration of Gov. Yahaya Bello. He urged them to demonstrate their loyalties and supports and join the New Direction of Gov. Yahaya Bello for the collective progress of Kogi People.

Abdulkareem stressed that the so-called vote of no-confidence on Gov Bello as conjured by some unnoticed cabals in Kogi State are inconsequential. It was alleged that the purported "meeting of no confidence" was as a result of the Governor's refusal to meet the outrageous demands of huge sum, in multi-millions of naira, by the convener. It is a known fact that some microscopic few have constituted themselves to project their selfish interests as blockade to the general interest of the people of Kogi State. Since they must look for a 'justifiable' way to go about their original mission of 'pull-him-down', they're presenting some unwholesome demands embroidered with insatiable quest for undeserved recognition and then consequential sabotage if their demands failed, as has failed already. Gov. Bello has too much integrity and accountability to the masses than to corner the state money into the pockets of some self-acclaimed god-fathers or anyone at all.

It is now abundantly clear that these people are sponsored by some desperate internal saboteurs in our party, especially those sulking in the pains of their imminent failure at the election petition tribunal. The simple truth these people failed to know is that recognition is earned, it is NOT cheap and not free. Those behind this proxy coup against the Governor and our party should retrace the path of honour to protect their political future. Perhaps they are also unaware that Governor Yahaya Bello neither has nor answerable to any political godfather in the state before taking decisions in the best interest of the people. Governor Yahaya Bello is the Chief Executive and Chief Accounting Officer of the State and as the number one Citizen of Kogi State, he's poised to serve the general interest of the people and not the interest of few individuals.

The era of godfatherism against the progress of our people is gone. No amount of castigations, vilifications, distractions and gang up can make Governor Yahaya Bello lose focus from his developmental programs and policies. Contrary to the ridiculous allegation, the Governor is working closely with his party both at the State and National level APC, particularly like minds who are ready to move the state forward. The ridiculous allegation about the PDP appointees infiltrated into GYB's administration without a single APC member has no statistical evidence which makes it the joke and falsehood of the century.

On the Ongoing Tribunal;

Abdulkareem said, Faleke was never a Governorship candidate. Have you ever pondered and asked yourself what is Faleke, who was never a candidate nor purchased a Governorship form, doing in Tribunal? He didn't even participate in the Governorship primary election. So what is he doing in the tribunal? Well, time shall tell.

Former Governor Wada said he should be declared winner because Prince Audu died with his votes? With all due respect to the death of a great man Prince Abubakar Audu but... I ask again, is APC dead too? Of course the answer is an absolute NO. APC is very much alive as such the votes cast is for the party and not the candidate .

When asked about the present location of PVC of Gov Yahaya Bello; Abdulkareem said a legal practitioner had done justice to that as quoted below; "Section 177 of the 1999 Constitution states that "A person shall be qualified for election to the office of Governor of a State if: (a) he is a citizen of Nigeria by birth; (b) he has attained the age of thirty-five years; (c) he is a member of a political party and is sponsored by that political party; and (d) he has been educated up to at least School Certificate level or its equivalent." I am sure we are aware that Alh Yahaya Bello met the above conditions. Can u now tell us what section(s) of our relevant electoral laws makes registration in a state compulsory for eligibility to contest election into the office of a Governor of a state? Remember Section 1(3) of the 1999 Constitution states that "If any other law is inconsistent with the provisions of this Constitution, this Constitution shall prevail, and that other law shall, to the extent of the inconsistency, be void"

The case of Ahmed Awela, Murtala (Eti Bobo) among other Ebira youths

Ismail M. Kabir, Lagos. Between controversial existence and a contentious exit. There are various sides to a story. For an event that happens with few or no significant eye witness, the news come in different versions; some partially correct, others completely cooked up. In some cases, such non-witnessed event pass round as rumour until eventually confirmed. Rumour it was, when a phone call from Okene announced the death of two famous Ebira youths! They were killed by the Police, reported the news. Being on a Sunday when nothing too special should ensue save for the usual church services and social functions, the news sounded as the most unexpected, as a matter of fact, incredible! The thought of losing such youths on an ordinary day like Sunday undoubtedly was the reason for the astonishment. Not a single person of Ebira origin, within or outside the soil would believe such shocker upon first hearing. Text messages, phone calls and of course physical enquiries lingered, all in an atte

The Obege legend

In the earliest generations when the art of magic was yet a myth to the people, there was born a boy into a family of hunters in the village of Eika - one of the six communities that comprised the ancestral groups. He was believed to have been born with a leaf in his hand and to the elders of then, that was prognostic of what he would be - a native healer. And had grown up performing wonders. His kinsmen were all hunters, they would deny the boy the opportunity to follow them hunting, purely on age ground - and he was really too young to go hunting in the forest. They would leave him in the house with the women as they set out on their hunting expedition. But they had meet the young Obege in the forest roasting a fair member of the forest’s game, all alone - and unarmed! The elders had to defer to this wonderful boy. Obege as an adult was more than human. His fame had spread all over the land: he was a healer of most seemingly incurable diseases, he was a rain maker, assumed more divin
