FAR ARE EZI-AKUTA FROM MISCHIEF AND HYPOCRISY

By Akuta Youths

The smelly but a concocted insinuations swirling all eaves of our political spheres to doctor the obviously spotless image and the well-nurtured rapport of Ezi-Akuta with Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello is not only jealous and petty, but equally mischievous, nauseating and uncalled-for. And very hopefully enough, Akuta as a clan shall not only survive the politically smarmy permutations of the perpetrating imps but shall also finally wax stronger and immerse completely all attempted machinations bid at hampering the serene terrain on which the unity and harmonious co-existence of Anebira is established as it stands today.

The leadership of Governor Yahaya Bello is a product of the celetial stamping which becomes even more impalpable upon one's contemplating of its meditation, and as such may all wise men mellow and succumb hook, line, and sinker. Thus, all gestures of dirty clannish colouration tailored at maiming this feat shall only continually appear rickety, failed and shamed.

Akuta, being the incontrovertible eldest of one (Agada) of the two Okene dynasties could not have stooped so low to jettison her supports and loyalty to the annointed leader - Governor Yahaya Bello. The move of Ezi-Akuta to politically bestir what has since been mislaid in Okene does not really suffice to play dirty politics from any quarters via a herald of lies whatsoever within the system.

The white pap comes from the black pot, so the much-criticised clan bias still helps to order some political fixations at appropriate times especially in Okene and within some other arcs. Akuta's case has been simply put and clearly shy of immodesty - that the same general routine of chairmanship seat alternation between the Agada and Okovi descendants/apologists in Okene could still be extended to re-order such normalcy within the sub-clans of each of the two alternating dynasties to genuinely spread accross the spirit of love and oneness, and a true and transparent sense of belonging in all.

Not too long, the Governor, in a convoked stakeholders' meeting, personally dissipated other inanities that were linked to the Government House in the regard of the fore-going, all to the fullest satisfaction of the attendees. The same mischief-makers are, now again, at the breed of a fresh collywobbles thickening a vicissitude to have necessarily prompted this piece to attenuate and utterly evaporate the cheap rumour making the round that EZI-AKUTA HAVE WITHDRAWN SUPPORTS FROM THE GOVERNOR. Indeed, this is incredibly laughable! There has not been and can never be anything of such. How workable would a justice seeker strive in isolation from the central material of institution and institutionalization?

The architects of these provocations must realize that recognition is earned and not coerced at all. The Agada chaimanship turn is a strategic matter arising and which is NOT beyond the scope of His Excellency to resolve. The Alhaji Yahaya Bello that we all know cannot be tempted with cheap political fabrications nor can he ever be cowed by suchlike empty threats.

Akuta hereby dissociates herself from the baseless rancour-inciting allegations with which she is currently tagged and heralded. The allegation is too slim to hold water. Ezi-Akuta have even been more resolute in their supports behind their son, the Governor owing to his choice of people-oriented administration for Kogites, among others.

We implore the Governor to continue to be sure of our unshaken companionship, loyalty, solidarity and prayers through and through. Political office seekers are urged to be responsible, constructive and forthright in their propaganda as the entire Ezi-Akuta and other Anebira are equally charged to be law-abiding as they go about their daily routines.

God bless Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello.
God bless Anebira.
God bless Kogi state and Nigeria.

Sign: Akuta Youth President.

The case of Ahmed Awela, Murtala (Eti Bobo) among other Ebira youths

Ismail M. Kabir, Lagos. Between controversial existence and a contentious exit. There are various sides to a story. For an event that happens with few or no significant eye witness, the news come in different versions; some partially correct, others completely cooked up. In some cases, such non-witnessed event pass round as rumour until eventually confirmed. Rumour it was, when a phone call from Okene announced the death of two famous Ebira youths! They were killed by the Police, reported the news. Being on a Sunday when nothing too special should ensue save for the usual church services and social functions, the news sounded as the most unexpected, as a matter of fact, incredible! The thought of losing such youths on an ordinary day like Sunday undoubtedly was the reason for the astonishment. Not a single person of Ebira origin, within or outside the soil would believe such shocker upon first hearing. Text messages, phone calls and of course physical enquiries lingered, all in an atte

The Obege legend

In the earliest generations when the art of magic was yet a myth to the people, there was born a boy into a family of hunters in the village of Eika - one of the six communities that comprised the ancestral groups. He was believed to have been born with a leaf in his hand and to the elders of then, that was prognostic of what he would be - a native healer. And had grown up performing wonders. His kinsmen were all hunters, they would deny the boy the opportunity to follow them hunting, purely on age ground - and he was really too young to go hunting in the forest. They would leave him in the house with the women as they set out on their hunting expedition. But they had meet the young Obege in the forest roasting a fair member of the forest’s game, all alone - and unarmed! The elders had to defer to this wonderful boy. Obege as an adult was more than human. His fame had spread all over the land: he was a healer of most seemingly incurable diseases, he was a rain maker, assumed more divin
