National Convention: APC appoints Dr. Abdullahi Sanni Ozomata as member sub-committee on Medical

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has named 19 new committees to oversee relevant structures of its activities for its forthcoming National Convention. From its Central Planning Committee made of the party’s 12 interim executives down to the 20th committee, a total of 710 persons have been appointed to serve in various committees. In the document shared to journalists on Sunday, Dr. Abdullahi Sanni Ozomata was appointed as a member, Sub-Committee on Medical, which has its chairman as the Cross Rivers State governor, Ben Ayade.  Other committees are Media/Publicity with Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu as chairman, Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State heads the Security/Protocol Committee while Entertainment/Welfare Committee has Deputy Speaker Idris Wase as chairman. BRIEF PROFILE OF DR ABDULLAHI SANNI OZOMATA

At 38, Dr. Abdullahi Sanni Ozomata is an astute administrator cum project manager and politician who has distinguished himself in selfless humanitarian services.  Born to the family of Mall. & Hajiya (Mrs.)  Sanni Sadiq Ozomata (Sansad) in Okene, Dr. Abdullahi hails from Okene Local Government Area of Kogi State. Senate Moves to Establish Federal University of Education, Okene

A bill seeking for the establishment of Federal University of Education, Okene has passed first reading at the red chamber of the National Assembly. The bill sponsored by the Senator representing Kogi Central seeks to upgrade the Federal college of education Okene into a full fledged University of Education. Speaking with Newsmen, Senator Oseni said the College has been in existence for a long time and has produced quite a number of NCE graduates over time, noting that it is long overdue to award Bachelors in Education. Etudaiye Pays N2.750m SSCE Fee For over 100 Ebira Students

Adomu Muhammed Etudaiye, a renown philanthropist from Okene, Kogi State, has paid the Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE) fees for over 100 indigent Senior Secondary School in kogi Central Senatorial District. Etudaiye said, in Okene on Wednesday 23rd February that the gesture was aimed at complementing the Ebira Youth Congress’s educational development efforts. He said the beneficiaries were carefully selected from some public secondary schools in Ebiraland. According to his representative, Hon. Habib Ikunaiye, the beneficiaries are the children of less privileged individuals within Kogi Central who are designated to sit for the examination but could not afford the fees. Tribute to a great Muslim Icon: What I do Remember about late Alhaji Badamasiyyu (Badams) as a little girl from Okene Islamiyya Central Mosque

As little kids, during Maulud celebrations in the 1970s at Okene in Kogi State, we used to march around all the nooks and crannies of Okene, visiting dignitaries like the late Ohinoyi, Alhaji Sani Omolori (at his palace), late Shaykh Ahmad Rufai (at Idoji), the late Attah's family,  late Chief Imam Musa Galadimah my Uncle (at Iruvuchegba) and now late Alhaji Badamasiyyu populary called (Badams) because of his popularity and very delicious bread (Badams Special Bread) in that order on the 1st day of Maulud activities. His compound too is at Iruvuchegba close to the Chief Imam's compound.  Alhaji Badamasiyyu used to receive the Maulud children with special joy, especially children from Okene Islamiyya Central Mosque, not because all his kids attend the school, but due to his special love for our beloved Nabbiy SAW.  I could still recall that one of his little son that we call "Champion" then (I can't recall his real name now) used to be our flag bearer f
