Remembering H.E Ambassador (Alhaji) Abdulmalik Ibrahim Atta, CBE, Nigeria's First High Commissioner To The United Kingdom (1914 1969)

Sourced by: Alhaji Rufai Abdulmalik 28th August 2019 marks the fiftieth anniversary of the demise of Alhaji Abdulmalik Ibrahim Atta, the distinguished statesman, diplomat and pillar of the Ebira community.  Born in 1914, the oldest child of Atta Ibrahim Onoruoiza (Atta of Ebiraland 1917-1954),  Abdulmaliki was among the pioneer pupils at Makaranta’, the first primary school in Okene at the Okeneba palace of the Atta. Beginning his education in 1922 along with other foundation students of the Makaranta with contemporaries like late Alhaji Abdulrahaman Okene, he transferred to Bida to complete his primary education (1927-1928). He proceeded to Katsina from Bida in 1929 to attend the famous Katsina College, graduating in 1934.  While in Katsina, he met some of the future pioneering indigenous political leaders of the and the country, as co-students. Conditional Cash Transfer: Hon. Onyekehi Commends President Buhari As Federal Govt Set To Disburse N1.5Billion To 74,000 Poor Women in Kogi

Kogi State Focal Person of the National Social Investment Programme, Honourable Abdulkareem Onyekehi Suleiman has eulogised President Muhammad Buhari as the National cash transfer office is set to disburse about N1.5 Billion to poor and vulnerable women across Kogi State. The focal person who also doubles as the Special Adviser to Kogi State Governor on Special Projects declared this in a statement released to newsmen today in Lokoja. The focal person said a financial firm, Fortis Mobile engaged by the federal government would disburse the sum of N20,000 each as 4 months arrears of January to April 2021 to over 74,000 poor and vulnerable women in rural communities under close supervision of  Kogi State office of the NSIP. According to the statement, the Kogi State beneficiaries of CCT has been increased to 74,111, a development worthy of celebration, he said.
