NG-CARES: Budget And Economic Planning Minister, Sen. Abubakar Bagudu Assures of Better Days Ahead for Kogi SMEs
The Minister for Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has assured Kogi small businesses of better days ahead for their business desired growth and progress. The minister gave the assurance while inspecting products of Kogi CARES Result Area 3 beneficiaries at an exhibition organized by the Federal Coordinating Committee of the NG-CARES as part of the one-day lecture titled: Social Protection in Nigeria, The Journey So Far" held at the Nicon Luxury Hotel, Abuja on Wednesday. Senator Bagudu earlier in his remarks commended the $570 Million NG-CARES programme implemented in the 36 states and FCT for its significant role as a support mechanism across Nigeria. While complementing his earlier proposal for the expansion of the programme to cover the three tiers of government, the minister hinted the federal government's commitment to lifting people from poverty saying that more funds has been allocated in the 2024 budget to that effect.
