GOVERNOR ODODO VISITS PRESIDENT TINUBU

The Minister for Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has assured Kogi small businesses of better days ahead for their business desired growth and progress. The minister gave the assurance while inspecting products of Kogi CARES Result Area 3 beneficiaries at an exhibition organized by the Federal Coordinating Committee of the NG-CARES as part of the one-day lecture titled: Social Protection in Nigeria, The Journey So Far" held at the Nicon Luxury Hotel, Abuja on Wednesday. KEDA Meets Standards Organization of Nigeria (SON), Seeks Quality Assurance for Kogi SMEs

In her bid to ensuring operational standards, Kogi Enterprise Development Agency (KEDA) has met with the Standards Organization of Nigeria (SON) to seek working collaboration for the benefits of Small and Medium Enterprises in the state. A bill seeking for the establishment of Federal University of Education, Okene has passed first reading at the red chamber of the National Assembly. The bill sponsored by the Senator representing Kogi Central seeks to upgrade the Federal college of education Okene into a full fledged University of Education. Etudaiye Pays N2.750m SSCE Fee For over 100 Ebira Students

Adomu Muhammed Etudaiye, a renown philanthropist from Okene, Kogi State, has paid the Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE) fees for over 100 indigent Senior Secondary School in kogi Central Senatorial District. Etudaiye said, in Okene on Wednesday 23rd February that the gesture was aimed at complementing the Ebira Youth Congress’s educational development efforts. He said the beneficiaries were carefully selected from some public secondary schools in Ebiraland. According to his representative, Hon. Habib Ikunaiye, the beneficiaries are the children of less privileged individuals within Kogi Central who are designated to sit for the examination but could not afford the fees. Kabir The reappointed Executive Director of Rural Electrification Fund, Dr. Sanusi Ohiare has paid for the West African Examination Council (WAEC) registration fees for final year Secondary School students in Kogi Central senatorial district. Twenty five students selected from various secondary schools are among the numerous graduating students whose parents could not afford their registration for their final examination, a development that informed the recent call by the Ebira Youth Congress (EYC) for concerned stakeholders to respond to the low enrolment record among secondary schools across Kogi central. AAAMCO Old Boys of '87 Award Best Students, Teachers

 Reminiscent of the impact and memories of their glorious days in college, the '87 graduates of Abdulazeez Atta Memorial College, Okene (AAMCO 1987 Old Boys) presented awards to three best students in all classes of the prestigious college in the second edition of the annual event in appreciation of the positive impact the college has made in their academic life. The event which held on the 4th of October 2021 at the school premises in Okene was well attended by the 1987 Old Boys Excos, member of staff and students of the college.
