Dr. Sanusi Ohiare Pays WAEC Registration Fees For Kogi Central Students, Reinstates Commitment to Community Development

The reappointed Executive Director of Rural Electrification Fund, Dr. Sanusi Ohiare has paid for the West African Examination Council (WAEC) registration fees for final year Secondary School students in Kogi Central senatorial district.
Twenty five students selected from various secondary schools are among the numerous graduating students whose parents could not afford their registration for their final examination, a development that informed the recent call by the Ebira Youth Congress (EYC) for concerned stakeholders to respond to the low enrolment record among secondary schools across Kogi central.
Recall that Dr. Sanusi Ohiare was recently reappointed by President Muhammadu Buhari to serve another term of 5-years as the Executive Director of Rural Electrification Fund at the Rural Electrification Agency (REA). The reappointment is perceived by many as a confirmation of the numerous achievements of Dr. Sanusi Ohiare since assumption of office as the ED of rural electrification fund.
While available records reveal unprecedented footprint of the REA in their innovative approach to energy renewal in communities and variosu social institutions acorss Nigeria, Dr. Sanusi who reinstated his commitment to the development of his community, has worked with his team in extending the electrification projects to villages, health centers, academic insitutions and other deserving areas in Ebiraland and Kogi State.
The REA under the pilotship of Sanusi Ohiare has provided 100Kwp Solar Mini-Grid that has not only lighted up Ukpake and Obangede community in Ajaokuta LGA but providing 24hrs uniterrupted power supply to the entire village.
Other power interventions include provision of 65kwp Solar Hybrid Minj-grid for 250 bed Cottage Hospital Ukpogo Check point Okene, provision of 6.5Kwp Mini grid at Cottage Hospital Adavi-Eba, provision of 15Kwh Mini-grid at cottage Hospital Ebiya in Ajaokuta LGA, Provision of 15Kwh Mini-grid at cottage Hospital Ege/Iruvochinomi in Adavi. LGA.
They also provided 15Kwh Mini-grid at cottage Hospital Idoji in Okene LGA, Provision of 500Kva at Oboroke, Okehi LGA, provision of 500Kva Transformer at Ikuehi Okehi LGA, provision of 500Kva Transformer at Ireabana community in Nagazi Uvete Adavi, provision and installation of 115 Solar Street Lights distributed around the Local Governments of the Central Senatorial District, provision and installation of over 25 Solar street lights at Adavi Eba community, provision of 100KVA transformer at Ohinoyi palace, and provision of 12 Solar street lights at Akene Ochi, behind ECSS Ogaminana among others.
