Still with heavy heart but in absolute submission to the Will of Almighty Allaah Ta'Allaah, we remember the passing on to Glory, on June 28, 2020 of our late Chairman of the 1968 Class of l.N.A Central School Okene Forum, Hon Chief Justice Nasiru Ajanah, CON. It is exactly one-year ago you unbelievably and monumentally left us. This is very fresh, as it shall remain so, in our memory. However, we shall recourse to our Creator who loves you most. We pray to Him to repose your gentle soul in Aljanah Firdaus as we continually quest for the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss. Aameen. As an epitome of integrity and erudite Legal luminary who died on active service as the Honourable Chief Judge of Kogi State,  we are proud of the positive legacy you left behind. Besides, your humility, humbleness, accessibility and humane approach to societal issues for redress during your life time remain indelible on our minds and in our hearts. Rest in peace. Adieu! The award was presented to Gov. Bello at the 6th edition of the Hive Global Leaders Program held during the weekend at Lilygate Hotel, Lekki Lagos. Following his emergence as the finalist among other nominees, the executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello has been awarded as the The Best Performing Democratic Governor of the Year at the Democracy Heroes Award 2021 which held yesterday, Friday 10th June, 2021 at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja. Governor Yahaya was represented at the award ceremony by the Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mathew Kolawole. Other nominees were outstanding Minister of Youth Sports Development, MR Sunday Dare and outstanding philanthropist, Elizabeth Jack Rich. The Adavi-Eba Eye Care Community Outreach is an initiative by a daughter of the soil, Engr. Ahuoiza Mary Kumode (a member of Nigeria Youth Parliament, Kogi Central) which is aimed at addressing rising cases of sight defects amongst people in rural communities across Nigeria. The Free Eye Treatment outreach includes Visual Acuity, Refraction, Tonometry, Viewing of the Fundus and Dispensation of Medicated Glasses to over 300 targeted beneficiaries across Adavi-Eba and environs within Adavi Local Government Area of Kogi State.
