Ekuku Dam and environs

A first look at the decaying facilities of Ekuku dam reminds one of an old farm house. Located in a fascinating natural landscape, neither the condition of the dam nor the attractive environment is of concern to the state government. Our team arrived about 10 minutes past 4pm. The whole area was as silent as a graveyard. No human being could be sighted around vicinity or any notice of somenone having crossed the paths for the past hours. Puzzled by the quietness of the environment, our technical officer, Muhammed Danjuma did not hesitate to ask wether no wild animal wandered around there. But one thing that distiguished the Ekuku Dam area of Agassa, Okene is its strategic location in the green valley, a complete natural environment with well cultivated farmlands. The bushy road to Ajaokuta Steel Airstrip in Adogo

EbiraView team visited Adogo community, Ajaokuta in a recent photo coverage exercise. Coincidently, we were face to face with a negleted remnant of the once beautifully tarred roads leading to Adogo Local Airstrip It was a bumpy ride as our motor bike galloped through. We wondered if the foreign workers of Ajaokuta pass through same route to and from the Airstrip. Since the commencement of productions in the steel complex recently, the federal government has not undertaken any significant project on the airstrip or its environs. Infact, it is obvious that comfort for the visiting foreigners ends on the runway as the road journey towards the dualised roads heading to Ajaokuta can be very uncomfortable.
