Perfect House of Friends (PHF) a not for profit community based organization has commenced a multimillion naira renovation project at the Zonal hospital in Okene.
The project is in fulfilment of its promise to ensuring a befitting health delivery service to the people of Ebira land.
In an address delivered by the president of the organization, Abubakar Kent, during the 2nd phase of its relief materials donation to the hospital on December 31st 2013, the group promised to sustain its commitment to improved health care delivery to the less privileged members of Ebira community.
At the event, facilities worth millions of naira including beddings, wheeled stretchers, drip stands, benches and others were donated to support the hospital in delivering better health care in a more conducive environment.
The annual project of the group takes places on the last day of the year (December 31st) but the group has decided to not only improve its support to the health sector of the community but also spread its scope.
A long abandoned admission ward in the hospital is the new focus of the group. They have embarked on a total rehabilitation of the 'Ward A' of the zonal hospital to a world class standard.
The project which is expected to be completed and handed over to the hospital management by end of the year 2014 has since begun.
As at the time of filing this report, materials have started arriving the hospital for the kickoff of the project.
