Tao FM Attack: EYC makes Press Statement


A PRESS STATEMENT ISSUED IN REACITATION TO THE COWARDLY BOMBING OF TAO FM RADIO IN OKENE
BY EBIRA YOUTH CONGRESS

Great Youth of Ebira, our patriotic senior comrades and security men and gentlemen of the press.

    This is a trying moment for Ebiraland and its people. We do not intend to bore you with long speech but to issue this statement in response to this attack:

1.    We view this cowardly attack under the cover of the night as an attack on the Ebira people given the emotional attachment of Ebira people to this Radio.

2.    This is one attack too many.

3.    Therefore we appeal land urge the security agents to within the shortest possible time unravel this heinous attack that touches the soul of Ebira people.

4.    We urge all Anebira to rise with all available legal means available to them to investigate this attack and brig the perpetrators to book.

5.    To shame the enemy, we urge TAO FM to open an account for the immediate resuscitation of the Radio. And we hereby appeal to all youth of Ebiraland to make contribution to it, to show our resolve to defeat this enemy.

We can build stronger and better on these ruins. Ebira people unit to defeat this enemy!

    We can overcome this setback; yes we are able! Rise to show it, demonstrate we can by making your contribution no matter how little to the said account. We shall not be cowed by a few traitors in midst of us.

For an event that happens with few or no significant eye witness, the news come in different versions; some partially correct, others completely cooked up. The Obege legend

In the earliest generations when the art of magic was yet a myth to the people, there was born a boy into a family of hunters in the village of Eika - one of the six communities that comprised the ancestral groups.
