Faleke Out, Olumoroti in

By Salihu Yazeed

In what turns out to be a saved heaven for Alhaji Yahaya Bello as known as Fairplus today at the APC national headquarters Abuja, Nigeria as APC national leaders stood their ground to maintain their decision to field AYB ahead of the December 5 governorship supplementary poll in a meeting that was well attended by both APC national leaders and kogi political shakers which have in it attendance, the Kaduna state governor, Mall Nasir El-Rufai, the APC national chairman Chief Odigie John Oyegun, kogi central senatorial district, Sen. M.S. Ohiare, kogi west senatorial district, Sen. Dino Malaye and a host of other pocketful political actors to officially announce and send their part substituted candidate to INEC ahead of the December 5 supplementary poll which was confirmed as received by the commission.

However, it was an ired moment for the late prince Abubakar Audu's running mate Chief James Abiodun Faleke in the November 21 governorship election which was marred by several irregularities in some part of the state and was later declared inconclusive by INEC as he disagreed with his party's decision to pick Bello over him and threatened to sue his party.

Whereas, earlier on today, Mr James Faleke had earlier picked his late principal's first son Mr Muhammed Audu as his running mate where he declared himself kogi governor elect owing to his late principal's sudden death at the eve of been declared the winner of the 21inconclusive election. The next political atmosphere in kogi after the supplementary election slated for December 5th could witness forth and back legal drama if Faleke's threat to APC is something to hold on to.

In addition, with this development, that is placing Mr Faleke completely out of the picture, news or rumour is already emerging that Mr Olusola George Olumoroti who also contested along side with Alhaji Yahaya Bello, Late prince Abubakar Audu, and others  under the platform of the All Progressive Congress in the August 29th APC primaries could be a possible replacement for Mr James Abiodun Faleke.

The case of Ahmed Awela, Murtala (Eti Bobo) among other Ebira youths

Ismail M. Kabir, Lagos. Between controversial existence and a contentious exit. There are various sides to a story. For an event that happens with few or no significant eye witness, the news come in different versions; some partially correct, others completely cooked up. In some cases, such non-witnessed event pass round as rumour until eventually confirmed. Rumour it was, when a phone call from Okene announced the death of two famous Ebira youths! They were killed by the Police, reported the news. Being on a Sunday when nothing too special should ensue save for the usual church services and social functions, the news sounded as the most unexpected, as a matter of fact, incredible! The thought of losing such youths on an ordinary day like Sunday undoubtedly was the reason for the astonishment. Not a single person of Ebira origin, within or outside the soil would believe such shocker upon first hearing. Text messages, phone calls and of course physical enquiries lingered, all in an atte...

The Ebira later split into various groups and settled in different locations between 1680 and 1750 AD. The Eb...
