FairWin Group Salutes Governor Yahaya Bello

So Far So Fair

The management and entire members of FairWin Group salutes Governor Yahaya Bello. In just two weeks of clinching the divine seat, Our God sent Governor His Excellency Alh. Yahaya Bello has been viewed by the entirety of the people of Kogi and beyond as a working Governor.

👉🏽For the first time in the history of Kogi politics Governor Yahaya Bello has indicated his strong  desire to see a Kogi that is devoid of the politics of sentiment by making appointments fairly & squarely across the three senatorial districts in the state.

👉🏾Upon assumption of office the new government in its resolve to keep the environment safe and clean for the people recorded a special sanitation day to keep Lokoja, one of the known filthiest capitals clean again.

👉🏻To define a new path for meaningful governance in Kogi, his dissolution of commissions, boards and parasratals received commendation from all quarters.

👉🏽In keeping to the promise in his inaugural speech Governor Yahaya Bello has since ordered the prompt payment of salaries and wages of workers every 25th day of the month. Indeed for the Governor the days of percentage payment is gone with yesterday.

👉Governor Yahaya Bello on assumption office quickly saw the need to get Kogi working and negotiated with Labour to call off her six weeks old strike action.

👉🏿To ensure a virile and robust economy in Kogi, Governor Yahaya Bello has taken a decisive step and ordered staff verification of the state civil service to expunge ghost workers.

👉In keeping with the rule of law Governor Yahaya Bello immediately ordered the reinstatement of sacked local government chairmen who have no cases in court.

👉🏾In a recent development that has been hailed by many across the length & breath of the Nation. Governor Yahaya Bello yesterday appointed  his deputy Governor in the person of Hon. Simon Achuba. The deputy Governor was confirmed by the Kogi State House of Assembly and sworn in by the Justice Nasir Ajanah, the Kogi State Chief Judge.

👉🏾Governor Yahaya Bello has also enforced fully the autonomy of the local government and ordered the stoppage of deductions from allocations that rightly belong to the local governments.

So far so fair, Kogi is working.

Governor Yahaya Bello is taking the right steps to right the wrong of past administrations.

The case of Ahmed Awela, Murtala (Eti Bobo) among other Ebira youths

Ismail M. Kabir, Lagos. Between controversial existence and a contentious exit. There are various sides to a story. For an event that happens with few or no significant eye witness, the news come in different versions; some partially correct, others completely cooked up. In some cases, such non-witnessed event pass round as rumour until eventually confirmed. Rumour it was, when a phone call from Okene announced the death of two famous Ebira youths! They were killed by the Police, reported the news. Being on a Sunday when nothing too special should ensue save for the usual church services and social functions, the news sounded as the most unexpected, as a matter of fact, incredible! The thought of losing such youths on an ordinary day like Sunday undoubtedly was the reason for the astonishment. Not a single person of Ebira origin, within or outside the soil would believe such shocker upon first hearing. Text messages, phone calls and of course physical enquiries lingered, all in an atte...

The Obege legend

In the earliest generations when the art of magic was yet a myth to the people, there was born a boy into a family of hunters in the village of Eika - one of the six communities that comprised the ancestral groups. He was believed to have been born with a leaf in his hand and to the elders of then, that was prognostic of what he would be - a native healer. And had grown up performing wonders. His kinsmen were all hunters, they would deny the boy the opportunity to follow them hunting, purely on age ground - and he was really too young to go hunting in the forest. They would leave him in the house with the women as they set out on their hunting expedition. But they had meet the young Obege in the forest roasting a fair member of the forest’s game, all alone - and unarmed! The elders had to defer to this wonderful boy. Obege as an adult was more than human. His fame had spread all over the land: he was a healer of most seemingly incurable diseases, he was a rain maker, assumed more divin...
