Press Release
February 04, 2016
The Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alh. Yahaya Bello has directed that civil servants are only required to complete the data forms provided in their ministries, agencies and parastatals to qualify for immediate payment of salaries. The exercise shall commence on Friday, 5th February, 2016.
Government's policy on data collection in the Kogi State Civil Service is primarily aimed at weeding out ghost workers to make it convenient for government to pay genuine and bonafide civil servants.
The process is also expected to help government build a database of its workforce for effective planning.
Governor Yahaya Bello has decided to relax the conditions stipulated in the earlier announcement, as civil servants would not be required to provide the documents. The Governor has responded to the pulse of the workers by requesting them to only complete the forms without attachment of credentials to qualify for immediate payment.
Government expects the workers to comply without further delay.
