Abubakar Ohere visits the Ohimege Igu of Koto Karfi


The Special Adviser on Local Governments & Chieftaincy Affairs, Alh. Abubakar Ohere paid a familiarization visit to the Ohimege Igu of Koto Karfi, HRM Alh. Abdulrazak Gambo Isa Koto.

The Kogi State Governor His Excellency Alh. Yahaya Bello represented by SA Local Government and Chieftancy Affairs Alh. Abubakar Ohere  has reaffirmed his commitments to the economic plans and policies by his administration but not without the support and blessings of our Royal Fathers. He further stated that no good devolopment can strive in any society without peace and harmony and our Royal Fathers are the custodians of this institutions that promotes peace and harmony.

His Excellency Alh Yahaya Bello in a statement through his Special Adviser on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs crave Ohimege's indulgence and his subjects for their supports and cooperation to the administration of Yahaya Bello. That all the ongoing needless and baseless litigations are aimed at causing unnecessary distractions against this administration. Alh Abubakar appealed to the Ohimege Igu of Koto Karfi to talk to his subjects about the need to give Governor Yahaya Bello peace of mind to perform and transform the Kogi State of our dream.

In his response, Ohimege Igu of Koto Karfi, HRM Alh. Abdulrazak Gambo Isa Koto told Alh. Abubakar Ohere that he has no doubt in his ability to succeed in this herculean task judging from the complexity of the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs. The Ohimege said the Ministry is not a place to handle with kid-gloves, however, he is very confident that Alh. Abubakar Ohere is qualified to be considered for this exalted position.

On the need for unity and progress of the state that are required to usher in meaningful development, HRM Ohimege of Koto Karfi has promised to intervene in most of the lingering political crisis in the state, such that will enable His Excellency to deliver on his campaign promises.

The Ohimege also spoke extensively on the role of Traditional Institutions in ensuring cordial and peaceful relationship in a society and therefore stressed that all the consultations and interactions with SA this afternoon is not a misplaced one but very timely and positive.

Ohimege said as a Traditional Ruler he has sworn to an oath of allegiance to support the leader of the State, therefore he assured His Excellency Alh. Yahaya Bello in particular his total support has been unreservebly redoubled.

The Ohimege thanked Special Adviser Alh. Abubakar Ohere for his wisdom and respect for  Traditional Institutions since he assumed duties.
