I will select People of proven integrity, impeccable character to run my administration - Gov. Yahaya Bello

In my quest to moving Kogi state forward, I will look back at the mistake of others and profer  a corrective measures  during the course of my administration. ..GYB.

I am going to select people of proven integrity and character to help me in running my administration. .GYB.

I did not come into power via influence of any god father, my enthonement as number one citizen of Kogi state was not by any body's doing, not even my self but by the almighty God. I will therefore rule the state with the fear  of God and I will not compromise in delivering dividends of democracy to all Kogites. ...GYB.

We all agree that part of reasons why  the past administrations failed was the character of the people around our leaders.  A situation where one godfather handpicked  his boy to be doing his bidding under another man's government is what GYB stand against in selecting his aids.  Should GYB fail  (God forbid) his name will be mentioned, not that of those seeking to decide who runs his administration. Allow him to choose he he feels can work with him and let him bear the consequences alone.  If at 40, GYB is not fit to determine who runs his government, I think the youth have no reason to agitate for any position in our country politics any longer.

The requisite characteristics of person or people  that are needed to run a successful government must not only come from active party men that tagged themselves Politicians/stake holder but also those technocrats and professional who have proven worthy in their chosen careers. Should those character suddenly become members of the opposition party simply because they are helping GYB to move our state forward then we have a big issue at hand.

For the very first time in the history of our state, a chief of staff, fiance anchor person, SUBEB chairman, Auditor general of the state  and host of other juicy positions are coming from a tribe different from that of the Governor.
These show the level of detribalization in the administration of GYB.

My dear Kogites, friends and well-wishers of our dear state who may want to say the truth will agree to the fact that marginalisation and or superiority of one tribe over another  is a thing of the past in Kogi state. Government run by godfathers where contracts are awarded without proper execution will never be part of GYB'S administration.
Those who are determined to be misinforming the general public, claiming what is not true should know that when the truth finally comes out, they will have no where to hide their faces.  Who ever is also sponsoring such campaign should know that GYB does not intend to join issue with people that lack sincerity of purpose, honesty who does not  have the interest of people they claim to be representing at heart.

Change is what we promise the good people of Kogi state and that change will come, God willing.
It is of important for us to know that we can't achieve this change without a change in our attitude. Patient and civil obedience are key in order to realise our set objectives.

Kogi state shall be great under GYB, this I know for sure. I hereby urge all meaningful Kogites especially the youth to know that our major interest in this administration is to better the life of all and sundry by delivering on our campaign promises.  We are not here to pick fight with anyone and we shall not waste our energy and tax payers money in combating our detractors. The money meant for Kogi state will be use in developing our state, even distribution of resources shall be our goal.

Long live Kogi state
Long live Nigeria.
