Fund Raising Appeal: Sanusi Ohiare Settles Ummukursum School Fees

The Executive Director of Rural Electrification Fund, Dr. Sanusi Ohiare has settled the outstanding school fee for Ahuoiza Umukursum, a student of Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara in Kogi State.

Some concerned individuals have raised an appeal on Facebook few days ago, solicting financial support to Abedo Ahuoiza Imukurusum, a 100 level Microbiology student.

The needy student who is currently maintaining a 3.55 CGPA at the university is on the verge of dropping out of school due to the inability of her parents to finance her studies.

The post which went viral on various social media channels caught the attention of Dr. Sanusi Ohiare, prompting him to giving express intsruction that the fee be settled with immediate effect.

Dr. Sanusi who is passionate about quality education particularly among the younger generation, has in his usual philantropy released the sum of One hundred thousand naira (N100,000) to the student. 

The money which was delievred through one of his aides, Comrade Ma'ahi Kashim has since been credited to the Imukurusum's bank acoount for onward settlement of her outstanding fees at the university.

It could be recalled that Dr. Sanusi Ohiare in similar gesture recently delivered transformers and solar power street light/mini grids to various communities, primary health centers and public facilities across Kogi central senatorial district as part of his commitment to ensuring fair distribution of clean energy and lighting up of deserving communities across Nigeria.

The other sister groups are Egbura Koto and Ebira Mozum (Kogi state), Ebira Panda, Ebira Oje/Toto (Nassarawa state), Ebira Etuno (Edo state), Ebira Agatu (Benue state) Ebira Oloko (Ondo/Oyo/Osun states). Written records about the origin of the Ebira people were those compiled from palace sources by the British colonial administrators in early 20th century.
