Kogi Eminent Personalities Pour Prayers, Encomiums As Nurul Islamiyya Quranic School Graduates About 40 Students

Notable personalities from Kogi State have showered prayers and encomium on the founder and proprietor on Nurul Islamiyya, Alhaji Abdulqadeer Zubair Umar for his immense contribution to the development of Islam in Ebiraland. The outpour of commendation is on the heels of the consistent development of young muslim children and teenagers through the teachings of holy qur'an and its memorization by the Islamic school.

37 out of over 400 students of Nurul Islamiyya graduated today after completing their quranic lessons in an event that was well attended by eminent personalities across Kogi State. The event which held at the premises of the quranic school located on Abdul-One Crescent, By Kabba junction in Adavi local government area of Kogi was attended by muslim scholars, politicians and business men from Kogi State and beyond.


Delivering his remarks, the former governor of Kogi State, Captain Idris Wada pour praises on the founder and sole proprietor of the school for his passion in imparting the quranic knowledge on the students. Capt. Wada who deply appreciated the zeal of the founder to promote spiritual discipline among the young generation noted that even his age has not deterred his quest to deepen his understanding of the holy Quran as he is currently enrolled as a quranic student in Abuja.



The former Governor emphasized the need for Muslims to learn more about the holy scritpure to guide their lifestyle especially at a time the world is faced with varying challenges. He said that "the best gift your parents can bequeath to you all is to have enrolled you in this islamiyya. The knowledge you learn from here will go a long way in shaping your life and ensuring a successful future for you here on earth and in the hereafter", he noted.



On his part, the founder and sole proprietor of the school, Alhaji Zubair who is popularly known as Abdul One thanked Almighty Allah for giving him the opportunity to promote the message of Islam especially among young people. He expressed his fulfillment for the good cause he has chosen to expend his God-given wealth on, noting that his dream was to enable the younger generation achieve the opportunity his missed at his young age.

Speaking further, Alhaji Abdulqadeer expressed gratitude to the numerous personalities that graced the event from all walks of life, prayed for Allah's reward and their safe returns to their various destinations.

Among the personalities that graced the event was the executive Governor of Kogi, His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello who was represented by the Majority leader of Kogi State House of Assembly, Honourable Mukhtar Bajeh, First Class Traditional rulers of Kogi Central led by the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, HRM Dr. Ado Ibrahim who was represented by the Asema of Uka clan, the Ohis of Okene, Ihima, Adavi and Okene and other traditional rulers, the Kogi State former commissioner for Works, Hon. Abdulmumuni Sadiq, Hon. AK Salihu, Hon. Abdulmumuni Danga (aka Porphy) and other politicians.

Among the Muslim clerics at the event is Sheikh Lukman Imam, Chairman Kogi State Hajj Commission, Ustaz Mukhtar Sanni Omolori, Sheikh Abulmumin Obehira, Ustaz Shaibu and a host of other eminent islamic scholars and personalities from the private sector.

For an event that happens with few or no significant eye witness, the news come in different versions; some partially correct, others completely cooked up. The Obege legend
