OHINOYI EBIRA SUCCESSFULLY QUELLED THE ONLINE WAR BETWEEN THE TIJANIYYAH GROUP AND THE MASWAJ GROUP



His Royal Majesty, Ohinoyi Ebira, Alh Dr. Ahmed Tijani Muhammed Anaje, successfully mediated a dispute between the Tijaniyyah group and the Markazil Ahli Sunnah Wal Jamma'ah (MASWAJ) in Ebiraland on November 5, 2024. After hearing from both sides, he emphasized the importance of unity, reminding them of their shared heritage as Itazi progeny and Muslims who believe in the oneness of Allah and His prophet ‎ï·º.

In his wise address, Ohinoyi Ebira stressed that ideological differences shouldn't divide them, citing the Quran and Hadith to highlight the value of tolerance, perseverance, and resilience. He cautioned against depleting the values of Islam and spreading harmful content about Islam on social media and warned that any future derogatory remarks would be severely dealt with, emphasizing the need for peace in the land.

Under his guidance, the two groups came together, shared pleasantries, and committed to upholding the resolution. Their leaders expressed gratitude for Ohinoyi Ebira's timely intervention and promised to instruct their followers accordingly.

To ensure lasting peace, Ohinoyi Ebira directed the group leaders to sign an undertaking with the District Police Officer (DPO) in case of any future violations.

This historic resolution showcases Ohinoyi Ebira's commitment to unity and peace in Ebiraland, demonstrating the significant role traditional leaders play in fostering harmony within their communities.

The Obege legend

In the earliest generations when the art of magic was yet a myth to the people, there was born a boy into a family of hunters in the village of Eika - one of the six communities that comprised the ancestral groups.
